Curry celebrates 80th birthday

Thelma L. Curry, of Sedalia, celebrated her 80th birthday with a surprise party, held by her children and grandchildren, on Saturday at Union Savings Bank.

She was born March 16, 1929, in Willow Springs. She is married to Vernon L. Curry.

She is a housewife. She enjoys working in her yard, taking care of her birds, watching television and spending time with her family.

She has seven children, Orva Fisher, Larry Curry, Donnie Curry and Barbara McNeal, all of Sedalia, Ronnie Curry, of Jefferson City, Robert Stuart, of Lone Jack, and John Stuart, of Versailles; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
