Junie S. Dodd, Edwards

Junie Spry Dodd, 79, of Edwards, died Saturday evening, June 14, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Edwards, a daughter of James Wiseman and Ida Isabell Herren. On July 3, 1947, in Bentonville, Ark., she was married to Robert Lee Spry, who died Aug. 21, 1976. On Feb. 14, 1978, she was married to Albert Dodd, who died Feb. 15, 1979.

She grew up in the Sweetwater Community near Edwards. After she married, she lived on a farm near Edwards. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm.

Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Hasper, and her husband, Stephen, of Pasadena, Calif., and Berlidene Brown, and her husband, Ted, of Edwards; a sister, Ina Mae Morse, of Lincoln; a brother, James W. Herren, of Raytown; four grandchildren, Crystal Brown, of Lebanon, Adam Hasper, Roger Hasper and Nathaniel Hasper, all of Santa Clarita, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a sister, Faye Findley; a brother, James Martin; and a great-grandson, Canyon Lee Brown.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, with the Rev. Stephen Hasper officiating. Burial will be in Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral services.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Benton County Health Department, in care of the funeral home.
