The Sedalia Democrat's new weekend entertainment magazine will steer you to the best bets in cultural events, fairs and festivals, nightlife and outdoor recreation throughout mid-Missouri. You'll learn about day-trip destinations and find out where best to take in Missouri's scenic splendor.

Every week, you will discover the offbeat and be led off the beaten path to discover the people and places that set this region apart.

Swoop will be published every Friday, beginning September 12, and will be distributed in The Sedalia Democrat and selected locations thoughout our area.

Swoop's online component, swoopmag.com, will keep you up to date with local entertainment video, event calendars, and special promotions. It will have a local focus and include a wider coverage area with events happening in Arrow Rock, Branson, Lake of the Ozarks, Kansas City, and other surrounding metropolitan areas.
