Ford celebrates 80th birthday

Lillian Jean Ford, of Sedalia, celebrated her 80th birthday on Thanksgiving at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Columbia with family and friends.
She was born Dec. 9, 1929, northeast of Beaman on the family farm. On Nov. 6, 1947, she was married to Harl “Doc” Ford, who died July 23, 2004.
She is a housewife. She enjoys crocheting, knitting and covering coat hangers, working crossword puzzles and taking care of her many yard flowers.
She has a son, Gary Ford, of Columbia; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
