Foster anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Foster, of Grain Valley, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house, held by David and Dustin Foster, from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at Faith Methodist Church in Grain Valley.

Frances Hover and Leland Foster were married Feb. 1, 1959, at Jamesport Methodist Church, by the Rev. Alden Longwell.

Mr. Foster is retired. He formerly was the superintendent of schools in Green Ridge, Weaubleau and Norborne.

Mrs. Foster is a homemaker. She worked from home as a transcriptionist, before she retired.

She has three children, David Foster, of Lee’s Summit, Dustin Foster, of Belleville, Wis., and the late Dennis Keith Foster; and two grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to the celebration. The couple request no gifts.
