Mitchell-Fox engagement

Anthony and Stephanie Mitchell, of Sedalia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Mitchell, to Justin Fox. He is the son of David and Verneene Fox, of Madras, Ore.

The future bride, a 2003 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, received a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the University of Central Missouri this year. She was a member of the honor’s college for four years.

She completed research on bacteria S. aureus, which was reviewed for publication in a sports medicine journal in 2007. She studied abroad for five months in 2007 and received an international studies minor from Teikyo University Holland in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

In June, she completed a one-year clinical laboratory science program at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. She is a level 1 clinical laboratory scientist in the hematology department of Saint Luke’s Hospital.

The future groom, a 2002 graduate of Madras High School, enlisted in the Air Force in 2002. He attained the rank of staff sergeant in November 2007.

He has completed several tours overseas and is a non-commissioned officer crew chief for the B-2 Stealth Bomber at Whiteman Air Force Base.

A Sept. 27 beach wedding is planned in Okaloosa Island, Fla.
