Robert R. "Randy" Gardner
Comments 0 | Recommend 0McGuffey - Robert R. "Randy" Gardner, 59, died at 2:53 a.m. June 25, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born May 22, 1950, in Kenton to Richard E. and Inabelle Rogers Gardner, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Gardner had been a telephone technician for Embarq for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Alger Community Fire Association. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include two sons, Bradley (Carol) Gardner, of Adairsville, Ga., and Brett Gardner, of Lima; a daughter, Brittany Gardner, of Lima; three brothers, Greg (Cheryl) Gardner, of Lakeview, Richard "Rod" (Garnet) Gardner, of Nevada, Ohio, and James Potter, of Marysville; a sister, Ronna (Larry) Jay, of Lima; a granddaughter; and his special friend, Sunni Scott, of McGuffey.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Gardner.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Pastor Rick Grayshock will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
