Doud-Woods wedding
Deniz Jennifer Doud and Richard Duane Woods Jr., both of Sedalia, were married at 4 p.m. June 25, 2011, at Parkview Christian Church.
The bride is the daughter of William Doud, of Sedalia, and Sevgi Ekici, of Ankara, Turkey.
The groom is the son of Richard and Joyce Woods, of Sedalia.
The Rev. Rodney Brown conducted the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Catherine Stewart was the maid of honor. Jessica Hazel, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honor. Amanda Mullins, cousin of the bride, and Kimberly Porter, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. Ava Benner, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl. Sevgi Ekici and Joyce Woods were candlelighters.
Nicholas Brashear was the best man. Chad Peck and Justin Peck, cousins of the groom, and Jesse Spencer were groomsmen. Clifford Hazel, cousin of the bride, and Nathan Porter, brother-in-law of the groom, were ushers. Jack Kakuske, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.
A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s parents June 24 at the church. The reception was at the Fox Theater in Sedalia.
The bride, a 2009 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is working toward being a certified pharmacy technician at State Fair Community College. She is a pharmacy technician at Walmart Pharmacy in Sedalia.
The groom, a 2007 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is an assistant manager at Walmart in Marshall.
The couple honeymooned in St. Louis. They live in Sedalia.
