Students attend FCCLA leadership meeting
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Lacy Harrison and Angel Sheets, seniors, and Kelsey Cox, a junior at La Monte High School, their adviser Doris Jolly and Shelby Wessel, a senior at Green Ridge High School, attended the 2008 National Leadership Meeting of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America in Orlando, Fla., July 13-17.
This year’s student-devised subject for the meeting was “Excellence Electrified.” Participants examined and discussed several issues, including family, school and community violence prevention, physical as well as financial fitness, future career exploration and community service projects.
Wessel attended the meeting as the state vice president from Region 12. Sheets was in attendance as the president of Region 12 while Harrison is the vice president. Cox served as one of the eight voting delegates for Missouri. Jolly received the Advisor Mentor Award.
