Kilby-Holem wedding
Elizabeth Kilby and Chris Holem, both of Smithton, were married at 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at First United Methodist Church in Sedalia.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Tammy Kilby, of Sedalia. The groom is the son of Bob Holem, of Otterville, and the late Laurel Holem.
The Rev. Jim Downing conducted the ceremony. Steve Wells played the guitar.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Julie McCannon was the maid of honor. Stephanie Metzener, sister of the bride, Lori Holem, sister-in-law of the groom, and Stephanie Elwood were bridesmaids. Logan Bone, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Tammy Kilby and Bob Holem were candlelighters.
Chad Ragsdale was the best man. Jeff Holem, cousin of the groom, Obie Holem, brother of the groom, and Steve Wells were groomsmen. Tyler Kilby, brother of the bride, and Robby Holem, brother of the groom, were ushers. Trey Holem, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s father on Sept. 9 at Ryan’s Steakhouse. The reception was at the Pork Chop Place on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
The bride, a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, graduated from the Warrensburg Area Career Center. She is a class CA cosmetologist. She is the owner of the Beaman Country Salon in Smithton.
The groom, a graduate of Otterville High School, is a co-owner of Holem Bobcat and Excavating in Otterville.
The couple honeymooned in Gulf Shores, Ala. They live in Smithton.
