Taste of Home slated Thursday

Sedalia-area cooks will have a chance to learn some new techniques and recipes at the Taste of Home Cooking School.

The event, sponsored by Bing’s Branches, Sutherlands and The Sedalia Democrat, is set for Thursday at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the State Fair Community College campus.

The theme for the show is “Fall Comfort Classics.”

Doors open at 4 p.m., with an expo from 4 to 6:15 p.m. and the show running 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at The Democrat, 700 S. Massachusetts Ave.

According to its Web site, tasteofhome.com, Taste of Home publishes four magazines; sells multiple cookbooks and special-interest recipe collections at retail and grocery stores; and hosts more than 300 local cooking schools around the country each year.
