Roy E. Greer Jr., Maryville

Roy Ernest Greer Jr., 62, of Maryville, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Nodaway Nursing Home.


He was born Oct. 21, 1945, a son of Roy E. and Ada Leclare Dick Greer. He was married to Sherry Susan Vosyka, who survives of the home.


He was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He formerly was an X-ray technician at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.


Surviving are three daughters, Cim Hoerner, of Eldridge, Iowa, Cassie Ehrecke and Carrie Eiland, both of Davenport, Iowa; two stepchildren, Ron Ridgeway, of Bellevue, Neb., and Ronda Lopez, of St. Charles; a sister, Clo Cass, of Knob Noster; and 12 grandchildren.


The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Danfelt Funeral Home in Maryville. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at a later date.


The family suggests memorial contributions to the Roy Greer Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
