Helen R. Hostetter, Sweet Springs
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Helen Ruth Hostetter, 78, of rural Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
She was born July 27, 1929, in Trenton, a daughter of George and Lena Long Walker. On Oct. 12, 1975, she was married to Kenneth M. Hostetter, who survives of the home.
She moved to rural Sweet Springs from Kansas City 18 years ago. She was a beautician and a homemaker.
Also surviving are three sons, Monte Sharp, and his wife, Pam, and Thomas Sharp, and his wife, Mary Beth, all of Kansas City, Kan., and Douglas Sharp, of Sweet Springs; two grandchildren, Kathryn Sharp and Cory Sharp; and four great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Julie Sharp; and two brothers, Ivan Walker and Gene Walker.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs, with the Rev. Robert Malone officiating. Burial will be in Southfork Cemetery, south of Sweet Springs. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online at www.campbell-lewis.com.
