Robert L. Hursman, Warrensburg

Robert Lee Hursman, 31, of Warrensburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, from a work accident at Wire Rope Co. in Sedalia.

He was born June 3, 1976, in Warrensburg, a son of Marvin Dale Sr. and Patricia Nutt Hursman.

He was a graduate of Northwest High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Central Missouri State University. He was working toward a master’s degree at the University of Central Missouri. He was a machine operator for Wire Rope Co.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Darrin Hansen, of Hughesville; two brothers: Marvin Dale Hursman Jr., of Warrensburg, and Steven Wayne Norman Jr., of Indianapolis; two sisters: Joanna May Hursman, of Lincoln, and Micah Kay Wickstrom, of Joplin; a stepsister, Cassiopia Hansen, of Blue Springs; and his maternal grandfather, Bernice Nutt, and his wife, Martha.

He was predeceased by his father in 1994 and other grandparents.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hughesville Community Center. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Pisgah Cemetery in Elmwood, with Brother Jack Conard officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Bothwell Regional Health Center Hospice, in care of Moore Funeral Home in La Monte.
