Lenora G. Gee, Alexandria, Ind.
Lenora G. Williams Gee, 83, of Alexandria, Ind., died Monday, May 5, 2008, after a sudden illness.
She was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Syracuse, a daughter of Ralph and Mae Billingsley Williams. On Jan. 2, 1961, she was married to James Gee, who survives of the home.
She moved to the Madison County area in Indiana 43 years ago from Sedalia. She was a homemaker. She attended Living Word Church of God.
Also surviving are five daughters, Genevieve Sue Scott, Stella Pettis, and her husband, Michael, all of Sedalia, Frances Allen, and her husband, Jerry, of Alexandria, Judy Lane, and her husband, Doug, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Vickie Gale Williams, of Anderson, Ind.; a son, Danny Lee “Red” Watring, of Anderson; three sisters, Hazel Dove, of Sedalia, Jenny Lee Waddell, of Holt, and Shirley Wood, of Willow Springs; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Williams; a son, Vicker Dale Williams; a granddaughter, Tammie Pettis; and great-grandson, Joseph Scott.
Funeral services were Thursday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory in Alexandria, with Bishop Danny Tompkins officiating. Burial was East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, Ind.
