Lavonne M. Jeffrey, Versailles

Lavonne M. Jeffrey, 85, of Versailles, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at her home.


She was born Oct 16, 1922, in Burrton, Kan., a daughter of John Clifton and Ruth M. Stanley Dole. On Sep. 23, 1940, in Toronto, Kan., she was married to Clarence D. Jeffrey, who survives at the home.


Also surviving are two daughters, Beverly Oxford, of Gravois Mills, and Janice Laird, and her husband, Larry, of Latham; two sisters, Ruth Banks, of Snyder, Tex., and Marge Howell, of Hutchinson, Kan.; two brothers, James Dole and Wm. Michael “Mike” Dole, both of Burrton, Kan.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.


She was predeceased by three brothers; and a granddaughter, Vicki Shewmaker Pedigo.


 There will be a private family memorial service at a later date in Burrton, Kan.  Condolences may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.


Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
