Karl Buettner and his daughter, Sarah Jones, 11, a Sedalia Middle School student, took advantage of school being out Tuesday and windy weather to fly a kite at Centennial Park. Buettner used a fishing rod and reel, with fishing line to fly the kite, something his grandfather had suggested he try.
