    Knight-Cason engagement

    Fred and Charlene Knight, of Syracuse, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katy Marie Knight, of Sedalia, to Philip Nathaniel Cason. He is the son of Kristen Walker, of Gravois Mills.

    The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is working toward a bachelor of science degree in health information administration at Stephens College in Columbia. She is a receptionist at Western Missouri Bone and Joint in Warrensburg.

    The future groom, a 1999 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is a foreman for Asplundh Tree Expert Co. in Lee’s Summit.

    An Oct. 10 wedding is planned at Valley of Fire in Las Vegas.
