Harper-Knight wedding

Rachel Marie Harper and Bret Alan Knight, both of Hughesville, were married at 4 p.m. Sept. 20, 2008, at Echo Valley Lake, northwest of Sedalia.

The bride is the daughter of Rosalee and Roger Harper, of Norborne, and granddaughter of Angelina Gray, of Norborne, and Evelyn Harper, of Tina.

The groom is the son of Lester and Denise Knight, of Hughesville, and grandson of Robert and Edith Knight, of Hughesville, and Ruth Stratman, of Sedalia.

The Rev. M.R. Hamilton conducted the ceremony.

Amy Klein was the maid of honor. Rebecca Kraft, sister of the bride, Kimberly Knight, sister of the groom, and Katie Dougan were bridesmaids.
Rosalee Harper, mother of the bride, and Denise Knight, mother of the groom, were candlelighters.

Chad Knight, brother of the groom, was the best man. Jon Close, Russell Holsten and Ryan Metscher were groomsmen. John Kraft and Devin Kraft, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers. Fred Binder and Bobby Arnold were ushers.

The reception was held at Echo Valley Lake.

The bride, a 2003 graduate of Norborne High School, received a bachelor of science degree in journalism, with a minor in agriculture, from Central Missouri State University in 2006. She is a unit public affairs representative for the Missouri National Guard, 20th Combat Aviation Brigade.

The groom, a 2001 graduate of Northwest High School, is a custom applicator for Ag Co-op Services of Sedalia.

The couple live in Hughesville.
