Koffman-Farris wedding
Kathryn Elizabeth Koffman and Christopher Ray Farris, both of Boonville, were married at 4 p.m. July 2 at First Presbyterian Church in Columbia.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Doris Koffman, of Sedalia. The groom is the son of Paul and Linda Farris, of Moberly.
The Rev. Frederick Zahn conducted the ceremony. Dr. Jason Farris, brother of the groom, was the organist. Other musicians were Iskander Akhmadullin, Jason Lozer, Neal Seipp, Alan Wenger, Matthew Frederickson, Drew Leslie, David Stagg, Patrick Sullivan, Angelo Manzo,
Bryan Koerner and David Robinson, conductor. Dr. Debra Spurgeon, aunt of the groom, was a vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Christi Engles was the matron of honor. Chelsea Agee, Emily Claunch, cousin of the bride, Mallory Graves and Kimberly Madden were bridesmaids. Melissa Jankowski and Monica Miller were candlelighters.
Aaron Farris, brother of the groom, was the best man. Kyle Brobst, Matthew Dunseith, Jeremy Knudtson and Clinton Sims were groomsmen. Jared Engles, John Koffman, brother of the bride, and Loren Koffman, cousin of the bride, were ushers.
A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s parents at The Rome in Columbia on July 1. The reception was at the Peachtree Catering and Banquet Center in Columbia.
The bride, a 2003 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, received a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Central Missouri in 2007. She received a master of music degree in instrumental conducting from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009. She is the director of bands for the Marshall School District.
The groom, a 2001 graduate of Moberly High School, received a bachelor’s degree in music education from UCM in 2006. He received a master of music degree in trumpet performance from MU in 2008. He is a junior high band director and instrumental music specialist for the Columbia School District.
The couple honeymooned in Florida. They live in Boonville.
