Rudolph E. Kurz, Forsyth
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Rudolph Erich Kurz, 72, of Forsyth, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at his home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1935, in St. Louis, a son of Renatus Godfrey and Lucy Else Wildgrube Kurz. On Aug. 7, 1960, he was married to Carol Ann Homann, who survives of the home.
He was a Lutheran pastor for 30 years, 12 of which were spent as a missionary in the Philippines. He had been a resident of Forsyth since 1991.
Also surviving are four children, the Rev. Erich Kurz, and his wife, Brenda, of Sedalia, Nathan Kurz, and his wife, Marion, of Munich, Germany, Miriam Kurz, of Columbia, S.C., and the Rev. Joel Kurz, of Warrensburg; a sister, Carol Hoffman, of Denver; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Forsyth, with the Rev. Mick Wilkey officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Carpenter, Ill., on Dec. 22. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the ALS Association or to With God’s Little Ones.
