Morris N. Lyles, Versailles
Morris Nolan Lyles, 89, of Versailles, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at his home.
He
was born June 28, 1919, in Sedalia, a son of Samuel and Margaret Golden
Morris Lyles. On Feb. 29, 1939, he married Georgia Koetting, who
survives of the home.
He worked for Skelly Oil for several years and
later owned Lyles Cleaners in Sedalia for about 20 years. He was an
Army veteran and member of the Glensted United Methodist Church near
Versailles.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald Lyles, and his wife,
Linda, of Midwest City, Okla., and Morris Lyles Jr. and his wife, Lou,
of Irving, Tex.; a daughter, Deanna Stalcup, and her husband, Mark, of
Wentzville; a granddaughter who was raised in the home, Teri Burnett,
of Round Rock, Tex.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, William, Ed, and Sam; and a sister, Nadine.
Memorial
services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Glensted United Methodist
Church near Versailles, with the Rev. Barry Fieldler officiating.
