McGee-Martin wedding

Ailena Victoria McGee and Matthew Aaron David Martin, both of Sherwood, Ark., were married at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock, Ark.

The bride is the daughter of Nathan and Kim McGee, of Sherwood. The groom is the son of Richard and Sarah Martin, of Sedalia, and Carrie and Chris McDonald, of Beebe, Ark. He is the grandson of Marty Martin, of Sedalia, Mr. and Mrs. John Breshears, of Blackwater, and the late Robert E. Martin.

The Rev. J.N. Holmes conducted the ceremony. Gina Connor was the pianist and organist. Michael Coffman played the drums, Nick McKinnon played the bass and Colton Duty played the guitar. Cal Smith and the Rev. and Mrs. Nathan Holmes were vocalists.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Katlyn Morgan was the maid of honor. Nina McGee, sister-in-law of the bride, Angela Grizzard, Brena Singletary, Caitlyn Matlock, the Rev. Amy Hanna, Tara Pilkington and Sherrie Graves were bridesmaids. Vivianne Haynie was the miniature bride. Madison Martin, Ariel Schroder, Beatrice Holmes, Shayna Cypert, Tandance Townley and Anna
Eddy were flower girls.

Michael Martin, brother of the groom, was the best man. Andy McGee, brother of the bride, Chris McDonald, Bryan Stripling and Ryan Stripling, cousins of the bride, Jared Matlock, Nathan Ray and Ben McElory were groomsmen. Benson Holmes was the bible bearer. Ric Stripling, Josh Victory, Lance Chambers and Brian Glenn were ushers. Aidan Haynie was the miniature groom.

A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s parents and stepparents Oct. 2 at the church. The reception was also at the church.

The bride, a 2007 graduate of Continental Academy in Miramar, Fla., received degree in dental assisting from Penn Foster University in Pennsylvania this year. She works at Finnegan Health Services in Little Rock, Ark.

The groom, a 2006 graduate of Lighthouse Christian Academy in Beebe, is working toward an associate of arts degree, with an emphasis in business administration, at Arkansas State University in Beebe. He works at Arkansas Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, Ark.

The couple honeymooned in San Antonio, Texas. They live in Sherwood.
