La Monte took 17 students to the Smith-Cotton Math Contest on Jan. 28. Students who placed were as follows:
Jessica Reynolds: 10th in Algebra 10; eighth in Word Problems 10; third in Manual Computations 10; second in Geometry 10.
Felicity Richey: 10th in Manual Computations 10.
Trenton Ellis: Ninth in Right Triangle Trig; eighth in Manual Computations 11 and Word Problems 11; fourth in top competitor; second in Algebra 11.
Faviola Lemus: Ninth in Word Problems 9.
Jesse VanBooven: Ninth in Manual Computations 11.
Cathy Butts: Seventh in Algebra 9.
Daicy Martinez: Seventh in Geometry 9; sixth in Manual Computations 9.
