A Miami, Mo., man was injured Sunday during a crash in Saline County, according to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Derek M. Eddy, 20, was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

He has been discharged, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Eddy was westbound on state Route C west of O Highway at about 12:35 a.m. when his vehicle ran off the road, hit a culvert and went into a ditch.

The incident is still under investigation, the report states.
