California, Mo., woman seriously injured in Moniteau crash

A Moniteau woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Thursday in Moniteau County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Diane L. Kobel, 59, was southbound on Route KK a half-mile north of Swillum Road when she lost control of her vehicle on loose gravel, ran off the left side of the road and struck and embankment.

Kobel, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, the report said.
