Sullivan siblings attend Legion programs
Kyleigh Sullivan, 17, attended American Legion Girls State of Missouri June 19-25 at the University of Central Missouri. She was sponsored by American Legion Post 520 Ladies Auxiliary in La Monte. She will be a senior at La Monte High School and was chosen based on her leadership and citizenship skills.
Her accomplishments include perfect attendance for seven years, A-honor roll, Student Council, National Honor Society and volunteer work for vacation Bible school at La Monte United Methodist Church for the past six years.
Her brother, Kollin Sullivan, 17, attended American Legion Boys State of Missouri June 11 to 18 at UCM. He was sponsored by American Legion Post 520 in La Monte. He will also be a senior at La Monte.
His accomplishments include perfect attendance for nine years in a row, A-honor roll, National Honor Society, Mid-State and Kaysinger All Conference Soccer, Kaysinger All Conference honorable mention in basketball and Mid-State All Conference Baseball.
He also has been a volunteer work for vacation Bible school at La Monte United Methodist Church for the past six years.
They are the children of Lisa Lazenby, of Sedalia, and Donald Sullivan, of Green Ridge.
