Albert D. Mullins, Lincoln
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Albert David Mullins, 92, of Lincoln, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Lincoln Community Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Green Ridge, a son of James M. and Lydia E. Hughes Mullins. On Jan. 21, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz., he was married to Helen J. Barton, who died June 24, 2007.
He was raised in the Green Ridge area. He was a corporal in the Army Air Force during World War II. He lived and worked in California as a self-employed foundry man, before returning to Missouri.
He was an active outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. The Colorado River was one of his favorite places. He spent a lot of time working his land and was known for his tomatoes and cantaloupes. He was also active in raising horses and land development.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Hulse, of Pahrump, Nev.; a brother, Jewell Mullins, of Windsor; a sister, Imogene White, of Windsor; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Larry David Mullins; three brothers; and two sisters.
Private burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Marshall at a later date. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
