Produce business gets a name

After several months of doing business with no name, Lamar Zimmerman is calling his Sedalia produce stand Eastside Meat Market and has erected a sign with that name.

Zimmerman opened the store selling fresh produce and baked goods. He planned to sell fish, hoping to call the business Fish & More, but that plan has been scuttled.

“We’re operating as a meat market,” he said in a phone interview. “We have beef and pork. We’re working on getting buffalo and goat, sheep meat, lamb chops.”
