Court Docket for Nov. 7
The following cases were heard during the Nov. 7 Law Day docket, according to Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Mittelhauser:
• Nathan Dotson, 24, of Clarksburg, pleaded guilty to forgery and was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail. During a Feb. 28 arrest by Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark DeGraffenreid, Dotson signed a traffic ticket using the name of another person.
• Sharon Frost, 39, of Sedalia, pleaded guilty to passing bad checks, admitting she knew the checking account was closed when she wrote to a local convenience store. Frost was placed on probation for five years. While on probation, Frost will be required to pay restitution on a number of bad checks, serve 10 days of shock detention and perform 120 hours of community service.
• Jeffery Hoeflicker, 44, of Higginsville, pleaded guilty to criminal nonsupport of a minor child, admitting he failed to provide necessary support for his child in 2010 and 2011. Execution of a four-year sentence was suspended and Hoeflicker was placed on probation for five years with a requirement that he pay his court-ordered support.
• Tiffany Howe, 25, of Sedalia, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and forgery. The first charge arose from an accident in a parking lot on East Broadway Boulevard on March 26. The forgery charge involved a check passed by Howe on Aug. 19. Execution of a seven-year sentence was suspended and Howe was placed on probation for five years with requirements that she serve 60 days of shock detention and pay restitution to the victims.
