Kiburz elected to surgeons board

Dr. Doug Kiburz, of Sedalia, has been elected to serve on the board of councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

The councilors advise the board of directors of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Kiburz is immediate past president of the Missouri State Orthopaedic Association.

He specializes in hand and sports medicine at West Central Missouri Orthopaedic Surgical Services in Sedalia and is affiliated with Bothwell Regional Health Center and Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital in Marshall.
