DAR to light patriotism tree

Roslyn Heights, the headquarters of the Missouri State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will host an opening ceremony during their annual Christmas open house at 5:30 p.m. Friday at 821 Main St. in Boonville.

The event will feature a tree of patriotism lighting ceremony honoring veterans, those currently serving in the military, firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians. A reception will follow.
