2 treated, released after collision

Two Windsor men were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pettis County Friday.

John R. Hoyt, 39, the passenger, and Timothy R. Ward, 65, the driver, were taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center. Both men were treated and released Friday, according to a hospital spokeswoman. 

The accident occurred at 8:37 a.m. as Ward was eastbound on Highway 52 at South Flat Creek near Ionia. Ward’s vehicle slowed down for oncoming traffic and was hit from behind by an eastbound vehicle driven by Todd M. Kusgen, 19, of Nelson, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
