Smith-Cotton speech team receives honors

The Smith-Cotton High School Speech and Debate Team competed in Blue Springs Nov. 6 and 7.
Eleven students participated, six advanced to semi-finals and four placed.

Kourtlyn Henderson and Tyler Shepard placed third in novice public forum debate, Darrek Lundquist placed third in interpretation of literature and Sydney Crank placed first in storytelling.
