May 10 police reports

•Jess F. Chaney, 43, of the 500 block of West Sixth St., was arrested Friday on a charge of domestic assault, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Chaney was in Pettis County Jail Saturday in lieu of $5,000 bond, cash or surety.

•Darrell L. Johnson, of the 23200 block of Anderson School Road, was arrested Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and resisting arrest, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.

Shoplifting
An employee of Bings, 1400 S. Limit Ave., reported Friday that a shoplifter had attempted to leave the store with a bottle of vodka, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Burglary
Brian D. Carpenter, of 901 E. Third St., reported Friday that his home had been entered and his shed broken into, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Theft
Melvin Heaper, 621 E. Booneville Road, reported Friday that five black powder rifles had been stolen from a gun cabinet, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
