May 13 Police Reports

•Amanda Jo Brewer, 26, of the 2900 block of James Road, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of James Road on a charge of disturbing the peace, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

•Omar Mojica Reyes, 24, of Chapel Drive, was arrested at 1:16 a.m. Monday in Green Ridge on a charge of driving while intoxicated, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.

•Nicholas Antonio Salas, 20, of the 1500 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday at East 28th Street and South New York Avenue on charges of careless and imprudent driving and driving without a license, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.


Thefts
Kimberly A. Walters, of Sedalia, reported between Saturday and Monday her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at or towed from the 400 block of East Boonville Street, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. The wallet contained various identification, credit cards and $170 cash, reports stated.

Counterfeit Bill
An employee of Breaktime, 2701 S. Limit Ave., reported Monday the employee received a counterfeit $20 bill, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Burglary

•An employee of Mid-City Lumber, 2400 Clinton Road, reported between Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday $1,278 in merchandise was stolen including 10 fuel cells, a roofing nailer, six flashlights, a hammer, air compressor, saw, cordless reciprocating saw and two sets of bolt cutters, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.


•Brenda A. Pope, of Sedalia, reported Monday a home at 726 W. Seventh St. was burglarized, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Pope said she drove up to the home and saw a white vehicle parked behind it. When she walked around to the back of the home she saw a man run from the backdoor, reports stated.

Assault
Donovan L. Sims, 30, of Sedalia, reported between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Monday he punched in his right eye while he was walking toward Breaktime, 808 E. Broadway Blvd., after getting gas, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Sims said the white man who punched him was in his 40s with short hair and bushy beard, and drove away in a burgundy Mitsubishi sport utility vehicle, reports stated.

Sexual assault

A mother reported Monday that her 11-year-old daughter had been inappropriately touched by a person the child knows, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Statutory Rape

Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a 32-year-old man having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl over several months in Smithton, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
