Oct. 11 Police Reports
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Zana Fay Meek, 20, of the 1900 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday at East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue on a charge of driving with suspended license, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
•Steven Gene Newman, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.
•Mary Ellen Elliott, 42, of McVey Road, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Wednesday at Bothwell Regional Health Center on a charge of failure to obey a law enforcement officer, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
•Jose Jeronimo-Alcantar , 24, of Sedalia, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.
•Bennett Frederick Adkisson, 19, of Leeton, was arrested at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday on a Pettis County warrant on a charge of passing a bad check, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.
Hit and Run
Rachael M. Reed, of 624 W. Fourth St., reported Wednesday that her vehicle was struck by another while it was parked at the home and the driver left, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
Animal Bites
•Tanya M. Decker, of Calhoun, reported Monday that she had been bitten by a pit bull on Oct. 5 while visiting a friend’s home in the 600 block of West Fifth Street, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. The bite caused an L-shaped cut from her lower cheek to upper lip that was treated with eight stitches, reports stated. Officers said the dog was taken outside the city limits before it could be quarantined. The owners had no proof of rabies vaccination and officers asked them to bring the dog to the animal shelter for a 10-day quarantine, reports stated.
•Randy Shoop, of 1801 S. Park Ave., reported Monday that he had been bitten Oct. 6 by a neighborhood cat while he pet it, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Shoop told officers he would try to catch the cat so it can be quarantined.
Theft
Staci Harrison, of 508 S. Park Ave., reported Wednesday that overnight a black, canvas CD case with 20 country music CDs was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway next to her home, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
