Careless workers cost student $150
Comments 0 | Recommend 0August 29, 2008 - 5:36 PM
A couple of weeks ago the highway department, on U.S. 65 as you turn to Houstonia, put oil on our road, Highway N, without any gravel or fresh-oil signs. Two workers waved my daughter on. Now tell me, what idiot puts down oil without even a gravel truck around?
The highway worker at the end of the road, however, waved my daughter on and had to see that the oil that had covered her truck, all the way up to the door handles. This, by the way, cost her $150. College kids don't have $150 lying around.
