Carrie R. Bringardner, Sedalia

Carrie Rose Bringardner, 80, of Sedalia, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born May 16, 1928, in Beaman, a daughter of Alfred and Cora Owens Rogers. She was married in Columbus, Ohio, to Harold Bringardner, who died earlier.

She was raised in the Sedalia area. She owned several businesses in Sedalia. She retired from Sears, after answering the sales department telephone for 12 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are two stepchildren, Candice Burris, of Preckerington, Ohio, and Linda DeHart, of Johnstown, Ohio; three brothers, Vennis Rogers, Dennis Rogers and Eugene Rogers, all of Sedalia; two sisters, Ruby McCoy, of Hermitage, and Ruth Knecht, of Phoenix; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers, Floyd Rogers, John Rogers, Harold Rogers, D. Rogers and Bill Rogers; and a sister, Leta Joan Rogers.

Private funeral services will be at a later date. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
