Romney's argument about class warfare doesn't add up

Mitt Romney says class warfare in America does not exist. Things are not unfair, he says. Mitt Romney made about $21 million in the last two years off investments. He paid about 14 percent on that income in taxes. His income averages about $57,000 per day.

The average American family earns about $52,000 per year. If the average American family continues to earn $52,000 per year, it will take them 403 years to earn as much as Romney did in just two years.

Romney says this is fair, that those that say it is not fair are just jealous or envious. He states that the president and the Democrats believe that Romney and people in his income level should pay a little bit more in taxes to be fair, about 4 percent more.

Romney and the Republican Party say that their tax rate should be reduced. Some Republicans say taxes should be zero on dividend income. If that were to happen, then Romney would have paid no taxes on those two years, and in years to come. Mitt Romney says this is fair, not class warfare.
