Rose to celebrate 94th birthday
Mary Edna Rose, of Florence, will celebrate her 94th birthday on Monday.
She was born Dec. 8, 1914, in LaDue, a daughter of Benjamin Frank and Florence Eunice Marquess Voyles. She was married to William Ferrill Rose for 65 years until his death in October 2002.
She and her husband founded Rose Piano & Moving Co. in Kansas City in 1936. They operated it for 55 years until they retired to Florence. She was very active in the Seventh-day Adventist Churches, both in Kansas City and Sedalia, for several years. She served as a deaconess, Sabbath School secretary and held several other church offices.
She has two sons, Ferrill Rose, of Florence; and Dick Rose of Odessa; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
