Patricia A. Schoen, Sedalia

Patricia Ann Schoen, 69, of Sedalia, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at her home.


She was born Nov. 18, 1938, in Princeton, Texas, a daughter of Joseph L. and LauVera Hall Bagwill. On June 12, 1956, in Tipton, she was married to Joseph Herbert Schoen, who died Jan. 18, 2006.


She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved the Lord and her church family. She was a private in-home caregiver for several years. She most recently cared for A. J. and Mary Harlan and Stella Heckart. She enjoyed going to garage sales and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. She loved nature, flowers and gardening. She had lived in Sedalia most of her life.


Surviving are four sons, Herbert E. Schoen, and his wife, Tracy, Randy L. Schoen , and his wife, Tammy, all of Otterville, James L. Schoen, and his wife, Lisa, of Sedalia, Richard A. Schoen, and his wife, Brenda, of St. Joseph; two daughters, Sheila K. Sanders, and her husband, Kenneth, of Otterville, and Rebecca A. Schoen, and her husband, Jason Mors, of Las Vegas; her mother, of Syracuse; two brothers, Danny D. Bagwill, of Holiday, and Joe Eddie Bagwill, of Syracuse; a sister, Rose Marie Lorenz, of Pilot Grove; 13 grandchildren, Stacy Schoen, Adam Schoen, Justin Schoen, Tori Schoen, Natalie Schoen, Aaron Schoen, Alyssa Schoen, Kevin Sanders, Kurt Sanders, Hope Sands, Jessica Sands, Logan Schoen and Derek Schoen; four great-grandchildren; and her companion, Bob Whiteman, of Sedalia.


Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Oetman officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom Romig, Adam Schoen, Justin Schoen, Aaron Schoen, Robert Lorenz and David Lorenz. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.


The family suggests memorial contributions to the church or to the American Cancer Society.
