Smith-Schlarb wedding

Angella Irene Smith, of Sedalia, and Derick Thomas Schlarb, of Riverside, Calif., were married at 2 p.m. May 1 at Valley of Fire in Overton, Nev.

The bride is the daughter of Steven Smith and Nancy and Mike Gehlken, of Sedalia. The groom is the son of Thomas Schlarb, of Sedalia, and Shannon Helm, of Springfield.

The reception was at the home of the bride’s mother and stepfather.

The bride, a 2004 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is working toward a degree in psychology at State Fair Community College. She is a project administrator at Taylor Kelly Construction in Kansas City.

The groom, a 2001 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is a residential installer at Sparks Electric Co. in Sedalia.

The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas. They live in Sedalia.
