Elliott will celebrate 90th birthday

Arvella M. Elliott, of Sedalia, will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house, hosted by Charles and Joyce Elliott, from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 4 at Antioch Baptist Church near Green Ridge.
She was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Ionia.
She worked at the International Shoe Factory in Windsor and Inter-State Studio. She owned and operated the Ionia Grocery store and later the family farm with her late husband.
She enjoys hand quilting, gardening and helping out on the farm.
She has a son, Charles Elliott, of Ionia; two grandchildren, David Elliott and Cathy Chewning; and four great-grandchildren.
