Three injured in crash on snow-covered road
Three Knob Noster men were injured after driving off a snow-covered road and striking several trees Tuesday night on U.S. Highway 50, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Nicholas A. Anderson, 25, and Jorden Hendrickson, 24, were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries. William A. Gartner, 26, who was driving the vehicle, suffered moderate injuries and also was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center. Troopers reported all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, as Gartner was westbound on U.S. Highway 50 in Johnson County when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway.
The vehicle ran off the right side of the road over an embankment, struck several trees, overturned and came to rest on its wheels, according to Highway Patrol reports.
