Bothwell Regional Health Center seeking hospice volunteers

Bothwell Regional Health Center is seeking volunteer hospice companions to help provide care for hospice patients and their families.

Training sessions for the volunteer companions will begin in January and volunteers are needed throughout Pettis County, Warsaw, Lincoln, Cole Camp, Windsor, Knob Noster, Sweet Springs and Tipton, according to a news release from the center.

Companions provide non-medical care for patients in their homes for a few hours per week.

Free training sessions can be scheduled by calling Connie Tinsley at 829-2700 ext. 237. The training sessions will be held at the Bothwell Regional Health Center Hospice and Home Health Office in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center.
