Kansas women hurt in Pettis County crash
Two Kansas women were injured Monday in a one-car accident on U.S. Highway 65 in Pettis County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Carrie J. Parlier, 20, of Almena, Kan., was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.
Sherry L. Albert, 38, suffered minor injuries in the wreck but refused treatment at the scene of the crash, troopers reported.
The accident happened at about 4 p.m. Monday, as Parlier was driving north on U.S. Highway 65 just south of Kemp Road. Troopers reported the left rear tire of her vehicle blew out, causing Parlier to run off the left side of the road and strike a culvert.
