Windsor woman killed when vehicle goes off bridge
A Windsor woman was killed after her vehicle went off a bridge Monday in Pettis County.
Renita D. Aalders, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene 7:33 a.m. Tuesday by Pettis County Assistant Coroner Ben Banner.
Delisa D. Himes, 46, of Windsor, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with moderate injuries.
The accident occurred at 10 p.m. Monday as Aalders was eastbound on Elm Branch Road, just east of County Line Road near Windsor. Aalders’ vehicle was not found until Tuesday morning, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Aalders’ vehicle went off the right side of the bridge, overturned and hit a creek embankment. The vehicle landed on its left side in the creek, the report stated.
Aalders and Himes were not wearing seat belts, the report stated.
