McNew-Sportsman wedding
Jessica McNew and Trey Sportsman, both of Sedalia, were married at 4 p.m. June 24 at East Sedalia Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Daryl and Jana McNew, of Sedalia. The groom is the son of Art and Amanda Sportsman, of Sedalia.
The Rev. Ray McDonald conducted the ceremony. Julie McNew played the piano. Laura Hargrave was a vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Jennifer Jackson was the maid of honor. Katy McNew, sister of the bride, and Stephanie Bass were bridesmaids. Lyssa Sportsman, daughter of the bride and groom, was the flower girl. Taylor Ditzfeld and Darcy Yaeger, cousin of the groom, were the candlelighters.
Matt Sportsman, brother of the groom, was the best man. Brad Gardner and Kaleb Harvey were groomsmen. Cole Bass was the ring bearer. Scott DeHaven, cousin of the bride, and Blain Sportsman, cousin of the groom, were ushers.
A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s parents June 23 at Patricia’s Mexican Restaurant. The reception was at the Shrine Club.
The bride, a 2007 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, received a degree in business management, marketing and retail from State Fair Community College this year. She is a secretary at Kim Tanner’s Law Office in Sedalia.
The groom, a 2007 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is a machine operator at Caterpillar in Boonville.
The couple took a cruise to Key West, Fla., Grand Cayman Islands and Jamaica. They live in Sedalia.
