Bax-Sumner wedding

Andrea Bax and Jonathan Sumner, both of Dallas, were married at 5 p.m. Sept. 27, 2008, at Carnahan Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City.

The bride is the daughter of Don Bax and Mary Ann Bax, both of Jefferson City. The groom is the son of Keith and Sherry Sumner, of Sedalia.

Dr. Eddie Brown conducted the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Carrie Bax, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Julie Kempker, Blythe Schaumburg, Bailey Pierson and Miranda Henley were bridesmaids. Grace Porter, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Luke Sumner, brother of the groom, was the best man. Caleb Sumner, brother of the groom, Chance Anderson, Jack Shipman and Dave Schaumburg were groomsmen. Noah Sumner and Matthew Sumner, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers. Andrew Moody and Jesse Strickland were ushers.

A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s parents Sept. 26 at Carnahan Memorial Gardens. The reception was at Donita’s in Jefferson City.

The bride, a 2003 graduate of Eugene High School, received a bachelor of science degree in airport management from the University of Central Missouri in 2007. She is an operations coordinator in Denton, Texas.

The groom, a 2002 graduate of Smithton High School, received a bachelor of science degree in aircraft systems design from UCM in 2006. He is a systems engineer in Dallas.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii. They live in Lewisville, Texas.
